Martin House is celebrating 30 years of care for children and their families, in our community who have a life limiting condition. They help them to live well and fully along their often-difficult journey, supporting not only the children but their families as well.
The festive Exclusive Reward Card Customer Shopping Event was very well received by loyal customers who enjoyed fabulous festive shopping, live music, complimentary festive refreshments and a chance to purchase tickets to the Luxury Raffle which included a set of Diamond earrings valued at £400, Set of Luggage Creed Aventus for Him 50ml and a Signed Lulu Guinness Handbag.
All of our staff and friends of Martin House Hospice across the York, Helmsley, Beverley & Gainsborough stores in total raised £3,481.00 through the sale of Raffle tickets and we contributed another £519.00 making a grand total of £4,000 for the charity. Jill Atkinson who is a friend of the hospice spent the day in the York store, said “We cannot thank everyone enough for supporting the Hospice with such generous hearts”.
Karen Arundel, Buying Controller, who masterminded the occasion said “Our annual event was a huge success and we would like to thank our clients, friends and families for supporting the day. We are really proud to support so many local charities throughout the year such as Martin House, enabling them to continue their excellent work.”
Alison Wragg, community fundraiser at Martin House, said: “Our volunteers had an amazing day, with such generous donations from the public, and the chance to talk about the work we do with local families. Our thanks go to Browns for inviting us to take part in their Exclusive Reward Card event.”
