York Fashion Week | All Saints RC School

The Textiles department at All Saints RC School in York are delighted to be working with our York store for the second year running.

The dedicated and talented Year 13, A Level D&T Fashion and Textiles students are excited to have their creations displayed in the window of our York store as part of York Fashion Week 2019. The students have been working hard on researching and developing their unique design ideas to each produce very different final products.

Ellena Eleftheriou has designed an evening outfit inspired by the minimalism movement to be sold in Topshop’s Going Out collection. She has used a striking black and red colour scheme. Her jacket includes a printed lining under a layer of black organza to create a modern effect.

Jasmin Marshall’s on trend wine red, two piece outfit comprises of a pair of paper-bag waist shorts and an over sized denim style jacket. This outfit is to appeal to every young person who enjoys online shopping.

Lottie Hunter-Middleton’s outfit originally took inspiration from dark romanticism using a limited colour palette of black and flashes of gold.

The All Saints students worked alongside Emma Larkin, our Visual Merchandiser, to produce the window display with their own outfits and be Visual Merchandisers for the day. This opportunity has given the students an insight into one of the job roles within the fashion and textiles industry.
